Danielle Riley
Keough is an American actress. Born in Santa Monica, California, to the famous
musicians Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough who are the granddaughter of the
actress Priscilla Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised in Hawaii
by her father and living in Los Angeles by her mother. Keough also spent time
between California and Tennessee with her mother. Keough began modeling when
she was 15. Her appearances at Dolce & Gabbana fashion shows and Christian
Dior's cover shoots were just one of her many highlights. At the age of 20,
Keough was cast in the role of a support in The Runaways (2010) as Marie
Currie. Then, she starred in the independent thriller film The Good Doctor
(2011) and the horror film Jack & Diane (2012), before being assigned a
minor role in Steven Soderbergh's comedy Magic Mike (2012). After appearing in
Yellow and Kiss of the Damned in 2012, Keough was cast in the big-budget action
movie Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as a
law student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series The
Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009
film of the same name. Her performance was highly praised and received nominations
for the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance of an Actress in a Television
limited Series or Motion Picture. Keough's performance of a depressed young
girl in American Honey (2017) garnered the actress even more praise and an
Independent Spirit Award nomination. Keough was the main character in the
apocalyptic horror flick It Comes at Night (2017). Keough then reunited
Soderbergh for a role in Logan Lucky, a heist film. It was followed by roles in
a range of thriller and horror films in the year 2018, including Lars von
Trier's The House That Jack Built and the neonoir Under the Silver Lake. Keough
played the role of the lead character in The Lodge, a psychological horror
film. Zola is Keough's comedy-drama sequel. Keough plays Sandy Harrison in
Netflix’s 2020 release of The Devil All the Time.
