Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (pronounced NOH-vitch) is an Canadian actress from Canada. Her most well-known roles include her roles as Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand in the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) in the science-fiction series Continuum. She was also a character in the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is Polish and lived in Poland for a year during her ninth grade. She lived with her uncle in Poland, and was a student at Jelenia Gola school. She later studied at Vancouver Film School. When her brother introduced her to the Pulp Fiction, she became attracted to acting. In 2002 she began her first appearances in the TV series Jeremiah. She also made a brief appearance in John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she played acting in the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. She was in Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original film, in 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a regular on the series) in the drama television series Caprica along with Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. Later, she appeared in the show Hellcats. In 2012, she appeared as an actor in Jane Espenson's second season of the romance web series Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum. She was also Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film by Eli Roth. The Green Inferno, although it was produced in 2012, it was released worldwide in 2015. Apanowicz was cast to portray Angela in Volition the science fiction thriller film. The film was released on the 20th of February, 2020. Apanowicz was cast as Sandy in the second series of the Netflix thriller You.
