Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born to Gayle
(Gaston), director of national operations at Mary Kay and Freddie Wright. Her
home was San Diego, California. At the age of 14, she started her career in
modeling. She worked in Paris and Japan. After high school graduation, she
began acting. She was offered a spot in the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984) and
was nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards. She was in love with Dane
Witherspoon during the first season. They got married in the year 1986. In
1987, she was the title role in The Princess Bride. After she left the cast of
Santa Barbara, she got the starring role in Denial (1990) with Jason Patric.
She was also in State of Grace (1990) and was introduced to Sean Penn. They had
two daughters: Dylan Frances and a son Hopper Jack. Robin was back in Hollywood
with Tara in one of the most significant roles of her career, following breaks.
She was stunning and flawless. She starred in Toys (1992) the film that was
which was a comedy starring Robin Williams. It was hilarious. Wright was in
1994's blockbuster blockbuster Forrest Gump (1994), co-starring with Tom Hanks.
Wright was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for her part in the film as
Jenny. She was given a minor role in The Crossing Guard (1995), which starred Jack
Nicholson. After a string of rejections, she was offered the lead part in
MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996). The movie was directed by Pen Densham and
featured Morgan Freeman, Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. Her next film
was Erin Dignam's Loved (1997), with William Hurt.
