Markie Post
Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek,
California. Her career began in television and film productions like "Card
Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Later, she produced
such projects as Double Dare (1976). She has also appeared in TV shows such as
1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman (2000).
Perhaps she is most well-known for her part in "Christine Sullivan"
who was an actress and Night Court star (1984). From 1984 until 1992, she
played in 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is a poet
and noted nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918-April 7,
2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26, 1987) and Daisy Ross (born on
March 30, 1990), were her second marriage to Michael A. Ross. was born in Palo
Alto, California, and grew up in Walnut Creek, California. She was a
cheerleader at Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California. She received
her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon.
She was a trick roper in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes
were later returned home to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a lifelong
Democrat. Markie Post passed away on 7 August 2021, three months away from what
would have been her 71st birthday, which was on November 4. She passed away
just 27 days following her fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson,
who passed away on July 11, 2021. Even though the two shows were completely
separate, Night Court (1984) was cancelled in 1992 when her character Christine
Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire (1992) was released in
the same year, with Post being a character who was not her own Georgie, who
happened to be working in Washington DC (and later moving to a small town).
